About this Project

Valley Center High School, located in the suburbs of Wichita, KS, serves nearly 3000 students from the surrounding areas. The school’s science department boasts a state-of-the-art architectural grade classroom greenhouse manufactured by Crystal Structures, enhancing the school’s STEM and STEAM curricula.

The greenhouse, measuring 20′ by 42′, is designed to provide an optimal learning environment for students while maintaining ideal growing conditions for plants. Key features include:

  • Sunshades to control light levels and prevent overheating
  • Venting systems to regulate temperature and humidity
  • Spacious interior to accommodate classes and experiments
