About this Project
As part of the revitalized Old Forester Distillery in Louisville’s historic Whiskey District, Crystal Structures manufactured and installed an impressive overhead skylight measuring 26′ wide by 47′ long. This skylight serves as a focal point for the distillery, allowing natural light to flood the space and enhance the overall whiskey-tasting experience.
The Old Forester Distillery, owned by Brown-Forman, celebrates the rich history of America’s first bottled bourbon. Under the expansive skylight, visitors can explore exhibits, participate in bourbon-making demonstrations, and enjoy tastings in a unique and inviting atmosphere. The skylight also illuminates event spaces, making the distillery an ideal location for gatherings and special occasions.

Crystal Structures’ expertise in designing and installing custom skylights has played a significant role in bringing this historic building back to life. The skylight not only adds aesthetic value to the distillery but also contributes to the overall ambiance, creating a memorable experience for bourbon enthusiasts and visitors alike.
The Old Forester Distillery project showcases Crystal Structures’ ability to seamlessly integrate modern architectural elements into historic buildings, while maintaining the integrity and character of the original structure. The skylight installation is a testament to the company’s commitment to delivering high-quality, functional, and visually stunning solutions for its clients.
