About this Project
Lee Aerospace, a manufacturing company in Wichita, KS, added glass vestibules at two key employee entrances during a facility update. The vestibules were manufactured by Crystal Structures. Though a minor change, these vestibules make a major difference when it comes to keeping the elements out while allowing employees easy access.
The larger vestibule, covering an entry ramp, is about 267′ long. This allows convenient access for employees using wheelchairs, dollies, or other assistance. The smaller vestibule, just over 15′ long, covers a stairwell at an alternative entrance.

Both vestibules are crucial for weatherproofing the entrances against Kansas’ unpredictable climate. Between high winds, rain, sleet, and snow, the vestibules protect employees from the elements while entering or exiting the 146,000+ square foot facility. The company, founded in 1989 and employing several hundred people, specializes in manufacturing anti-fog aircraft windows that improve pilot visibility. With the recent addition of the Crystal Structures vestibules installed by Wickham Glass, Lee Aerospace continues to grow and upgrade their busy facility.
