About this Project
Itawamba Community College (ICC), located in Tupelo, Mississippi, has a rich history dating back to its establishment in 1963. Over the years, the college has grown significantly, and in 2015, the leadership implemented a new 5-year plan that included the construction of a new academic building to accommodate nearly 6,000 students.
As part of this project, Crystal Structures was chosen to manufacture and install two large canopy entrances and a matching canopy along the windows of the new building. The canopies provided by Crystal Structures are made of translucent polycarbonate, a durable and long-lasting material that offers an aesthetically pleasing appearance without the high cost of glass.

The use of translucent polycarbonate allows natural light to filter through the canopies, creating a welcoming and inviting atmosphere for students and staff entering the building. The material also provides excellent protection from the elements, ensuring that the entrances remain dry and comfortable during inclement weather.
Crystal Structures’ expertise in designing and installing custom canopies has helped enhance the overall appearance and functionality of Itawamba Community College’s new academic building. The canopies not only serve a practical purpose but also contribute to the architectural appeal of the structure, making it a standout addition to the campus.
As Itawamba Community College continues to grow and provide quality education to its students, the canopies installed by Crystal Structures will remain a testament to the institution’s commitment to creating a modern and welcoming learning environment.
